UFO's & FO's

I decided to gather up all my knitting ufo's and really get a good look at everything. I have quite a few but I decided my goal is to make a good dent in all of these projects by Labor Day, I think this is achievable.
Clockwise from 1:00
My oldest ufo, a lace scarf knit with Cherry Tree Hill - began in January 2005
A reverse-bloom flower washcloth - began May 6, 2008
Wobbly tote - side 2 - began January 2007
Casey's jersey - for Knit my Dog a Sweater KAL - began January 2007
Pink Sheldon - began February 2, 2008
A purple stow away shopping bag - began last Thursday June 12th
and in the very middle a single sock -began March 20, 2008

On the other hand, remember I said I had been sewing quite a bit lately? This is what I did on Saturday. I pieced, quilted and almost finished binding a wall hanging / table quilt which I started way back in the year 2000 or maybe 2001, but who's counting?
I also made the cutest pillow case I've made to date, imo...the cherry print with rick-rack.
I added a bee motif to a Moleskine journal and I also made a block for the And Still Counting project.
So, I don't feel too bad about not knitting lately.

Cupcake

I was lucky enough to get some time off work during one of the best weeks of the spring/summer thus far. Today I met my friend Splatgirl for an outside lunch at a new local favorite Brasa (delicious!) and then we hightailed it over to a place we had been dying to try, Cupcake. They also have patio seating so we enjoyed our cupcakes and iced drinks outside. Even though we weren't overly impressed with the cupcakes we decided we would go back and try the lunch menu sometime soon.
On a crafting note, I very recently I finished up some super fun projects and listed them for sale in my etsy store.
Sneak peak below :)
As far as knitting goes I've been in a bit of a slump, only cranking out a dishcloth or 2 every so often. I'll get the mojo back sooner or later.

Strawberry Margarita

The weather finally feels nice enough to start wearing sandals so naturally I needed to get a pedicure.

Pink Pink alllll Pink

I finally planted flowers this past Saturday and these pink daisies are among my favorites.
Did anyone watch the 5th Stanley Cup game last night? Wow, was it a good one...I fell asleep before the 6th period but this morning I promptly flipped to nhl.com to see the results.
Tonight I'm going to start knitting another mini sock for the June swap.
That's all for now.

June 1st

Last night as we exited Target we saw this ominous looking cloud. Target was our last stop so we headed home, following this crazy cloud. When we got home the severe weather sirens were sounding so we stood outside and watched :) Stupid I know but the cloud had just passed us and the weather radio said the severe weather warning had expired in our area. It never did anything but it sure looked strange.

I know it's been a long time since I've stopped by here and I'm hoping it won't be that long until the next post...I'm turning a new leaf for June. Lately I've been busy crafting for my etsy store - I updated today, planting flowers, working, watching the LOST finale, I'm newly addicted to Jon & Kate Plus 8 and my 365 project is nearing it's half way point.
I think Summer is finally on it's way although I am really enjoying the mild weather. This Summer I plan to make a quilt for the Quilt of Valor organization, participate in a few small knitting swaps, mountain bike with Kyle, get out a little bit on my motorcycle but generally just relax and enjoy the weather.
See you soon!
