Obligations

Late last year I participated in a pay it forward event where I would receive a handmade gift and in return I would make and send 3 gifts. I received a lovely knit stocking filled with goodies from Kristin.

Early this year I finally finished my gifts and got them sent out in the mail but I realized I never shared what I had given.
I made each new friend a felted bag with a matching wallet and journal.
This purple ensemble was for my fellow Vikings fan Renee, she adored it!

This sky blue set was made especially for Sandy since she is a great sky watcher! It showed up
on her doorstep just at the right time.
Sandy has posted a blog entry every single day this year, go Sandy!

Last but not least, this tropical set was destined for Jen. Sadly, the package (along with a roaming gnome) never made it to her but maybe it's in someone elses hands who is appreciating it as much as I know Jen would have. Sorry Jen :(

Warm Day Off

I was lucky enough to have the day off today especially since it began as a very nice warm and sunny one. The clouds are rolling in and we're expecting storms later on but it was very nice while it lasted. Casey has been outside for 98% of the morning and I'm just relaxing and catching up on things. I think Spring is finally here.

Spring Wee Sock

Almost a week ago (gosh, I'm a slacker) my friend Splatgirl hosted a really fun crafty chix brunch. While there, I managed to knit another wee sock for a swap on Ravelry. I kept my mouth shut and my ears opened long enough to concentrate on this project. Usually I'm talking so much I don't get anything accomplished.
Wee Sock - Spring Swap 2
Pattern: Wee Tiny Sock by Yarn Miracle
Yarn: Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock - Neon
Needles: Size 1 birch dpn's
Started: April 27, 2008
Finished: April 27, 2008
Knit for: Spring Wee Sock Swap Pal - the quarter added for scale is a clue to where the sock was mailed.
