Treading Water

Lately (and by that I mean the past week) I've been getting together with friends, going to Wild games and working or going to work related things. So unfortunately I have no finished objects to show you. Just a photo of my pal Casey with his new squirrel - a birthday gift. If you want a peek into my life these days you can visit my Flickr photos.

Candy Love

I'm always on the lookout for new candy so the best place to find it is usually in the holiday aisles. Today I ducked into Target for a couple of things and found this bag of Wildly Cherry M&M's. I haven't tried any yet but how bad can they be? I hope the M&M company come out with more limited edition flavors. I enjoyed all of the flavors I found about a year ago.

Before Valentine's Day I found this bag of exclusive green candies, apparently the "new color of love" :) This bag has already met its fate.
All Green
Besides M&M's, the other night we found a small bag of chocolate Skittles. I wasn't able to get any photos since Kyle ripped the bag open faster than you can say Skittle and then I completely forgot about it later on. The flavors were chocolate brownie, s'mores, and a bunch of others I can't remember.
Have any of you found any new candies?

Turtle Parts

I've got turtle legs, a body, a shell and a picture to fill an empty spot. Not too much else but I am still here! Hi everyone!

LYS Reviews

I went to a very nice baby shower on Saturday where I gifted the bootees and everyone seemed to love them. Afterward I stopped at one of my many lys' where I picked up this skein of Cotonade and a free dishcloth pattern. The perfect project for tv knitting - which is what I did all day yesterday.

I am very fortunate to have so many yarn shops so close to me but I have to tell you, Double Ewe is my favorite. Kelly has really done well with her new yarn shop, very organized, a wide variety of yarn and excellent customer service.

One other local yarn shop (I won't be saying the name here) which I visited last Tuesday evening, has changed SO much since the last time I was there I don't think I'll go back any time soon. Very disappointing and I left empty handed. I hope the owners come to realize they shouldn't have messed with a good thing.
There are several others that I visit every now and then if I'm looking for something specific and they're just fine for that.

Superbowl Sunday

Most of the weekend was spent in my jammies but I actually got quite a bit done in the cleaning and crafty departments, more info to come. I caught Casey laying within the coffee table this afternoon, he's always surprising me with his antics.
Strange Pup
And I'm getting closer to finishing the Saartje's Bootees, I just need to seam up the back & bottoms and add the buttons. Just in time for the baby shower next Saturday. Apparently tomorrow we're supposed to get a bit of snow (yea!) and I don't have to work as long of a Monday as I normally do so I'm looking forward to this week!
